Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Preferred majors include: Mechanical and other Engineering majors.
  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:
  • Experience with Smartsheet preferred, or other data analytic software.
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews engineering documentation for Ride and Show systems.
  • Develops working relationships with internal partners across the project to create new processes and produces for safety related programs.
  • Executes audits on ride and show systems documentation, internal processes, etc.
  • Partners with Compliance Manager, Engineers, and Technical Managers to understand audit requirements and inspections.
  • Reviews and audit Ride or Show documentation provided by Vendors and relevant 3rd parties to industry standards and completion.
  • Maintains progress reports for documentation completion, audit progress, etc.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Universal Creative is the research and development group responsible for designing rides and attractions for Universal Parks & Resorts theme parks. It is Universal's equivalent of Walt Disney Imagineering. From 1968 until 1997, Universal Creative was known as MCA Planning and Development. In 1997, when Universal parent MCA was sold to Seagram and dropped the MCA name, the company was renamed Universal Creative.
