Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Preferred majors include: Production, Project Management, Hospitality Management.
  • Preferred coursework completed: Project Management, Theme Park Hospitality, Design Development.
  • Experience in a theme park or guest service role preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern theme park interactive offerings preferred.
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to design team that supports department vision and progress individual scopes.
  • Assist in creating supporting materials and documentation that give high-level overviews of current design.
  • Report and escalate concerns & blockers to project critical milestones and work with the project team & mentor to identify solutions or workarounds.
  • Be vigilant in archival processes that create standards for future reference.
  • Identify & collaborate with project teams and other external/internal partners as necessary to achieve project goals.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

It is Universal's equivalent of Walt Disney Imagineering. From 1968 until 1997, Universal Creative was known as MCA Planning and Development. In 1997, when Universal parent MCA was sold to Seagram and dropped the MCA name, the company was renamed Universal Creative.
