What are the program dates for the Summer 2025 internship?
The program dates are approximately from June 2025 to August 2025.
What is the primary focus of the internship?
The internship is geared primarily towards electrical engineering but will also involve mechanical and/or mechatronics exposure.
What type of responsibilities will the intern have?
The intern will assist with mock-ups and prototyping robotic and interactive control systems, write vendor scopes of work, participate in hands-on exposure with low voltage systems, and attend collaboration meetings, among other duties.
What educational qualifications are required for this internship?
Candidates must be pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at an accredited institution with a current class standing of Sophomore or above, and must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
What majors are preferred for applicants?
Preferred majors include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, and Technical Theater.
Is previous experience required for the internship?
While not strictly required, experience in electronics theory, Arduino, and basic programming is preferred.
Will the internship be paid?
Yes, all internships are paid, and you may be eligible for financial assistance towards housing if applicable.
Where is the internship based?
The internship will be a hybrid experience based in the Orlando offices.
Does Universal Orlando provide housing for interns?
No, Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
