Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Preferred majors include: Computer Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
  • Preferred coursework completed: Data Structures & Algorithms, Computer Architecture, Digital Logic Design, Control Theory, or similar.
  • Experience with Game Development, such as Unity and Unreal Engine.
  • Experience with Programming Languages, such as Python, C#, and/or C++, and utilizing Github.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the software development lifecycle of projects from conception to architecture to mock-up.
  • Collaborates with other teams within Universal Creative to help bring an idea to life and use their technical ability to figure out how feasible an idea is.
  • Utilizes a variety of technologies in their day-to-day role. These technologies include but is not all encompassing of artificial intelligence, interactives, internal tools, game development, mixed reality, robotics, software pipeline architecture.
  • Assists in creating proof-of-concepts for R&D and performs rapid prototyping.
  • Develops tools for data analysis and visualization in research of early software prototypes.
  • Contributes to aspects of full stack development including front end, back end, and database development.
  • Partners with other disciplines within ATI to complete tasks as required to move project phase forward.
  • Assists with project coordination, including managing project dashboards and schedules.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Universal Creative is the research and development group responsible for designing rides and attractions for Universal Parks & Resorts theme parks. It is Universal's equivalent of Walt Disney Imagineering. From 1968 until 1997, Universal Creative was known as MCA Planning and Development.
