Description

  • James Hardie is seeking inquisitive, energized, collaborative, and adaptable college students for our 2024 summer intern program.

Over the course of our 10-12-week internship experience you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work directly with a mentor in your field of study while finding solutions to dynamic and challenging problems.
  • Experience our products up close by touring our state-of-the-art manufacturing and / or research facilities.
  • Interact directly with our company leaders to discuss strategy and the future of James Hardie.
  • Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities.
  • Gain the skills and knowledge to become a future leader in the building materials industry.

Requirements

  • Basic Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor or graduate computer science, cybersecurity, project management program from an accredited college / university with an expected graduation date between May 2025 – December 2026 (Rising Junior or Rising Senior status)
  • Ability to work full time for 10-12 weeks during summer 2024.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
  • Strong academic performance including a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the work location.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Program majors: project management, computer science, cybersecurity, technology or business management
  • Previous internships / co-ops or work experience and / or involvement with student or civic organizations

Responsibilities

  • As a member of our Cybersecurity team, you will support project work in a specialized security space including but not limited to:
  • Assist in the review of new vulnerabilities published from multiple sources and help identify those that may pose a risk to the organization.
  • Define an accurate risk rating in line with industry standard risk rating methodologies. Plan to execute on risk rating process in global environment.
  • Identify impacted assets and/or applications at risk and escalate to patch management team.
