Description

  • Model N is looking for college students (who have completed their junior year) ready to jump start their career exposure with an internship. We offer unparalleled hands-on experience working in an exciting yet challenging industry.   • You will have the opportunity to get to know the other Model N interns and participate in workshops and trainings designed just for you and your peers. In addition, each week there will be time for additional learning through LinkedIn Learning on topics to help you develop your skills and business acumen.  
  • The IT Service Desk Internship will offer practical work experience, an introduction to desktop support and an opportunity to gain experience with technical operations for an enterprise software company.  
  • This internship project will concentrate on revising the overall policy, procedure, and operational documentation to make it accessible for both the NOC team and the bots. This effort aims to streamline the handling of standard operations tickets by either the NOC or future AI Bots, allowing the team to deliver enhanced white glove service and dedicate more attention to other value-added tasks. 

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Awareness of PC hardware components, desktop operating system software and application software
  • Awareness of PC industry’s current and emerging technology trends and direction, as well as a keen interest in computer-based information systems and technology
  • Ability to be able to lift up to 25 pounds is needed.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and efficiently manage time while exercising good judgment and effectiveness in working with a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review and update technical documentation to assist future AI Automation.
  • Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions.
  • Support PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application software.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and arrange for other servicing needs.
  • Record activities, solutions, and other responses to request for service.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory records and documentation for equipment.
  • Assist with device lifecycle process from deployment to decommissioning.
  • Develop and provide user training for basic hardware and software use.
  • Maintains open communication and positive working relationship with staff.
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
