What is the location of the internship?
The internship is located in Chicago.
What are the application requirements for this internship?
Applicants must be enrolled in an NCARB, CIDA, or NAAB accredited architecture, interior architecture, interior design, or other design-related program and currently in their third year of a bachelor's program or higher.
What materials do I need to submit with my application?
You need to submit your resume, portfolio/samples of work, and a short answer response (300 words maximum) to the question “Tell us about a new tool or technology that you have used recently in your design process?”.
Is a cover letter necessary for the application?
No, a cover letter is not necessary.
What skills are required for this internship?
Required skills include fundamental knowledge of space planning, design methods, construction documentation, detailing, materials and aesthetics; fundamental Revit/3D design and CAD skills; intermediate Adobe Suite skills; intermediate hand-sketching and rendering skills; and familiarity with Autodesk Bim360 and Bluebeam Studio construction management software.
What responsibilities will I have as a Junior Designer Intern?
Responsibilities include modifying drawings, creating or modifying presentation documents, selecting finishes and producing finish palettes, assisting with vendor presentations and library organization, and assisting with site verifications or field surveys.
Is experience with Enscape required for the internship?
Experience with Enscape is encouraged but not required.
