  • Candidates must be currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Landscape Architecture (or a closely related field) in a LAAB accredited university program and must have completed at least two years of study.   • Knowledge of design process, conceptual thinking and detailed design/construction document knowledge, well organized and attention to scheduling requirements, as well as a good understanding of time management.
  • Experience with one or more of the following software packages: Land F/X, Bentley MicroStation, BIM/Revit, Rhino, ArcGIS and other spatial analysis tools, and other 3D modeling and rendering software.
  • Ability to plan and organize multiple projects and work with other multi-discipline team members; effective time management is an inherent trait expected of all internship candidates.
  • Ability to think critically, analyze design problems, and write effectively.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a diversity of interests that inform your design perspective.
  • A strong focus on studio culture and collaboration is an important aspect of our practice. The candidate should be confident, and willing to work with all staff levels from Entry Level Landscape Architects through Practice Leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Performing entry-level work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member on a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Following instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff and meeting required schedules while producing quality work.
  • Interns will work collaboratively as a team player with both junior staff and senior leadership to support the development of conceptual and schematic designs, construction details and documents, developing renderings, conducting research, and organizing and synthesizing information to address the opportunities and/or challenges posed by specific projects.
