Description

  • We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our e-commerce Last Mile Solutions (LMS) team as an intern. In this role, you will assist in finding opportunities and defining requirements for the systems that play a crucial role in our last mile delivery world. This internship provides a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced team who think holistically about how to build best-in-class solutions that enable our drivers and associates to meet the ever-growing needs of our customers. 
  • The LMS team has an effective partnership with ADUSA Brand operations and PDL development teams. We collaborate with a variety of partners including drivers, managers, leadership, and executives to support not only day-to-day operations, but also develop future Last Mile strategies. The intern position requires a customer-centric, data-driven approach, and an understanding of technology that powers last mile solutions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about solving problems and finding opportunities to drive efficiency for ADUSA associates and an improved experience for customers.

Requirements

  • The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college to receive a Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Expected graduation date of December 2024, May 2025, or December 2025
  • Ability to go into the nearest PDL office location on Wednesdays with the potential to go in other days of the week
  • Extra Spices - What you should bring to the table:
  • A background that reflects an understanding of technology and technical solutions to business problems
  • Familiarity with the e-commerce Last Mile space and various approaches seen across industry
  • Familiarity with Route Optimization, Yield Management, Network Management, Fleet Electrification, Telematics & Alternative Delivery Solutions
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail

  • Work under the guidance of senior channel development manager
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to refine requirements and define enhancements, creating consensus from other teams as necessary

  • Work on production and documentation of system solutions and upgrades
  • Understand the importance of data and can analyze metrics to inform product decisions
  • Aid in the investigation and resolution of production issues while working with internal solution providers
