What is the duration of the Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship?
The apprenticeship lasts for 24 months.
What kind of experience will I gain during the apprenticeship?
You will gain hands-on legal experience by supporting the Bristol Court of Protection Team and managing medical negligence or Personal Injury damages awards.
What qualifications will I obtain from this apprenticeship?
Upon completion, you will be a qualified paralegal in your area of practice and will receive a Certificate of Higher Education (Law and Legal Practice).
Are there any academic requirements for applying to this apprenticeship?
Yes, you need 5 GCSEs at grade A* to C or 9 to 4, including Maths and English, as well as at least 3 A Levels or equivalent at Grade C or above (excluding General Studies).
What kind of training will I receive during the apprenticeship?
The academic part of the apprenticeship is delivered by BPP via distance learning, linking directly to your client service area.

Can I apply for this apprenticeship if I already have a law degree?
No, if you have a law degree, you are unable to apply for this apprenticeship but could consider applying for a Training Contract instead.
What is the starting salary for this apprenticeship?
The starting salary for apprentices is £21,840, and £23,933 in London.
Will I have to complete any background checks if I am selected for the apprenticeship?
Yes, successful applicants are required to complete an employment screening process which includes checks related to eligibility to work in the UK, criminal records, and financial checks.
What additional benefits do apprentices receive?
Apprentices receive a full benefits package including 25 days of holiday, two paid volunteering days, Westfield Health membership, a contributory pension scheme, and access to training and development resources.
