Requirements

  • Degree in finance, economics, commerce, statistics or related discipline
  • Have a passion for investment management, a dedication to hard work, commitment to the highest ethical standards, and an eagerness to learn
  • Interest in investment risk management
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good presentation skills and writing ability
  • Sound working knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of and experience using AI/machine learning techniques would be preferred
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python and Matlab would be an asset
  • Familiarity with systems such as Bloomberg and Capital IQ would be ab asset

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the identification, and monitoring of counterparty risks across asset classes
  • Assist in automating and streamlining existing processes
  • Support the fundamental credit analysis for financial institutions (banks, brokers, etc.)
  • Take part in developing risk-reporting templates
  • Prepare periodic risk reports
  • Contribute to the development/enhancement of liquidity and leverage risk metrics
  • Gather, organize, and analyze data from various sources
  • Fulfill ad hoc requests as required
