Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; Preferably in a field related to the internship you are applying for.
  • Junior or Senior standing
  • Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs. and occasional sitting.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting booking/programming department with administrative duties and special projects
  • Research emerging domestic and international emerging artists.
  • Research target markets for shows.
  • Update venue and market database for the department.
  • Update and maintain booking calendar and documents.
  • Final internship project will be assigned at the beginning of the internship program to be presented at the end.
  • Learning Objectives:
  • Learn the process booking comedy.
  • Learning how to properly research artists and route, market and settle live shows.
  • Learn how to build and maintain relationships with outside organizations.
