Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelors or Masters degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Desired Skills:
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings/models and performance specs
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge/familiarity with model based engineering
  • Experience in leading projects
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with MRP systems (SAP)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team based environment

Responsibilities

  • The intern will work closely with Production Operations management and Manufacturing Engineers on key projects and efforts which may include the following: design for producibility, manufacturing system development, assembly animation, factory planning, manufacturing work instruction development, capital planning, design to cost, rapid prototyping, 3-D printing, and proposal support.
