Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field.
What type of engineering support will the intern provide?
The intern will provide manufacturing engineering support for both new product development programs and factory support of existing products.
Is experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred for this internship?

Will the intern work directly with Manufacturing Engineering Staff?
Yes, the intern will work directly with Manufacturing Engineering Staff to improve process efficiencies and maintain shop floor procedures and work instructions.
What analytical tools should the intern be familiar with?
The intern should be familiar with analytical tools such as Excel; experience with VBA is a plus.
Is experience with CAD software a requirement for this internship?
While CAD exposure and experience in mechanical design or electronic systems, structures, and mechanisms are preferred, they are not strictly required.
What types of engineering documents will the intern be involved with?
The intern will generate and process engineering change requests (ECRs) and may interpret fabrication, welding, and assembly drawings.
Will the intern have the opportunity to work on the shop floor?
Yes, the intern should be willing to work on the shop floor and will collaborate and communicate with colleagues and other departments.
Is troubleshooting a part of the intern's responsibilities?
Yes, the intern will apply engineering principles and troubleshooting skills to provide day-to-day technical support.
