Responsibilities

  • Provide manufacturing engineering support for both new product development programs as well as factory support of existing products
  • Apply engineering principles and troubleshooting skills to provide day-to-day technical support to Manufacturing Engineering Staff and shop floor.
  • Work directly with Manufacturing Engineering Staff in finding and implementing opportunities to improve process efficiencies
  • Support efforts to harmonize data within ERP System includes but not limited to lead times, standard hours, work centers, and implementing part/assembly revision changes.
  • Work directly with Manufacturing Engineering Staff to create and/or maintain shop floor procedures for both Fabrication and Assembly Departments.
  • Work directly with Manufacturing Engineering Staff to create and maintain of Fabrication and/or Assembly Work Instructions for major programs.
  • Use analytical tools (such as Excel) to identify areas for improvement
  • Generate and/or process engineering change requests (ECR’s) as required
  • Support transition from engineering design to manufacturing and assembly of products
