  • Pursing a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Innovation and problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for co-op positions.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.

Area of Responsibilities



  • The Manufacturing Sustainability and Efficiency Co-op will:
  • Work with Process Specialists and Equipment Services team members to identify, coordinate, and implement process improvements to reduce equipment downtime and improve process cycle-time.
  • Support Process Specialists and Planners in planning and implementation of projects for new models.
  • The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
  • Learn and understand the daily business of the Body Shop and manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze and evaluate current processes, identifying opportunities for sustainability and efficiency improvements.
  • Present findings and develop a strategy for implementation.
  • Develop a network of colleagues to aid in completion of objectives.
  • Identify and implement sustainability initiatives.
  • Identify and implement equipment performance improvement initiatives.
  • Identify cost-saving initiatives within the manufacturing areas.
  • Support project planning and implementation activities
