Description
- Reaction Engines is seeking to recruit a Materials and Manufacturing Intern into their growing Design to Manufacture team.

Responsibilities
- During your internship, you can anticipate being involved in materials & manufacturing research and development alongside engineers across the company.
- You will have direct involvement in materials and processing selection, manufacturing trials, and materials testing/characterisation.
- The successful candidate will assist with project work on a wide variety of industries
- Generally, projects within the department focus on materials and manufacturing technology development and product/prototype development.
Requirements
- Completing materials or manufacturing engineering/science degree
- Completed materials or manufacturing orientated HND
- To be working towards a degree discipline/ subject within Materials/manufacturing
- Working knowledge of MS Office, primarily Excel and Word
- Passion for engineering and willingness to quickly learn new skills
- Practical abilities in terms of bicycle/ vehicle mechanics, model-making or other creative skills
- An interest in materials science and engineering, particularly metallurgy is beneficial
- Some knowledge of materials behaviour and manufacturing processes
- Good analytic and problem-solving skills is beneficial
- Good independent worker and a self-starter
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team of multiple programmers and engineers
