Responsibilities

  • During your internship, you can anticipate being involved in materials & manufacturing research and development alongside engineers across the company.
  • You will have direct involvement in materials and processing selection, manufacturing trials, and materials testing/characterisation.
  • The successful candidate will assist with project work on a wide variety of industries
  • Generally, projects within the department focus on materials and manufacturing technology development and product/prototype development.

Requirements

  • Completing materials or manufacturing engineering/science degree
  • Completed materials or manufacturing orientated HND
  • To be working towards a degree discipline/ subject within Materials/manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, primarily Excel and Word
  • Passion for engineering and willingness to quickly learn new skills
  • Practical abilities in terms of bicycle/ vehicle mechanics, model-making or other creative skills
  • An interest in materials science and engineering, particularly metallurgy is beneficial
  • Some knowledge of materials behaviour and manufacturing processes
  • Good analytic and problem-solving skills is beneficial
  • Good independent worker and a self-starter
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team of multiple programmers and engineers
