What is the duration of the internship program?
The internship program runs from May to August, and Co-Ops are available from May to December.
What type of degree is preferred for this internship?
We are looking for students pursuing a BS or Master's degree in civil or construction engineering.
Will I have a mentor during the internship?
Yes, you will be assigned a leader/mentor in the materials engineering field to help with career planning and technical skill development.
Will I have the opportunity to work on projects during the internship?
Yes, you will execute projects safely, accurately, and profitably, gaining hands-on experience in various tasks.
Is there an opportunity for professional development during the internship?
Yes, you will have opportunities for professional development, including participating in a cohort, connecting with other interns, and presenting to executive leadership.
What skills will I learn during the internship?
You will learn effective proposal writing, client management, project management, site safety, testing procedures, and report writing among other skills.

Is the internship available in multiple locations?
Yes, we have multiple internship positions available across the United States.
Do I need any prior experience to apply for this internship?
No prior experience is required, but the ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining of their BS degree.
Is there a presentation opportunity at the end of the internship?
Yes, at the end of the summer, the intern cohort will present their experiences to the executive leadership team.
