What is the purpose of the Mechanical Engineer (Piping) Summer Internship position?
The purpose of this position is to perform the role of an engineering technician on a medium-sized, broad and diverse task force, requiring comprehensive knowledge of an individual engineering discipline and general knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines.
What type of tasks will the intern be responsible for?
The intern will be responsible for engineering assignments including space planning, mobilizations, producing data sheets, drafting engineering specifications and standards, tracking engineering progress, generating and processing forms for electronic engineering documents, and more.
What educational qualifications are required for this internship?
Candidates must be working toward a Mechanical Engineering degree and should be in their Junior or Senior year with at least a 3.0 GPA.
Are there any preferred qualifications for candidates?
Preferred qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, proficiency in Fluor specialized software programs, basic computer and software skills, and basic interpersonal and communication skills.
What are the working conditions for this position?
This position may require attendance in department/project meetings and training, and candidates will serve as a company representative to external clients.

Yes, the salary range for this position is between $40,000 to $66,000, with variations based on qualifications and other factors.
