Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations. Logically summarize inspection and work scope information for on-going projects.

Responsibilities

  • Confer with engineering and quality staff to develop, author, and implement a mechanical management system based on process monitoring;
  • Confer with maintenance and operations staff to develop and author mechanical work procedures for maintenance tasks;
  • Develop/apply corrective actions addressing bad actors defined by PM system on the manufacturing/repair and Facility machines;
  • Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design to ensure effective mechanical design focused around longevity and reliability;
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards;
  • Design, recommend, purchase all forms of mechanical components considering all applications, including chemical compatibility
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.
