What is the duration of the Mechanical Engineering Intern position?
The internship is a limited-term, full-time position starting in May/June 2025 and ending in August/September 2025, with the potential to continue part-time through the school year.

What are the primary responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineering Intern?
Responsibilities include design tasks (such as research, evaluation, sizing, and layout), assisting with drawings and calculations, communicating with vendors for equipment quotes, and data gathering in support of various engineering projects.
Is a valid driver’s license required for this position?
Yes, a valid driver’s license is required.
What level of education is required for the ideal candidate?
The successful candidate must have obtained Junior or Senior standing and be working towards a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
What prior coursework is preferred for candidates?
The ideal candidate should have completed mechanical design coursework in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.
What software experience is preferred for applicants?
Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD software, as well as Microsoft Office, is preferred.
Is sponsorship for a visa available for this internship?
No, Mead & Hunt will not sponsor a visa (H-1B, etc.) for this position.
