  • The role would be supporting all aspects of the merchandising function, from helping to raise orders, to allocating to shops, to helping with displays and managing stock loss.  The role would give the candidate great experience for career in merchandising.

Area of Responsibilities

Hospitality & Retail


  • Supporting the team in the distribution of stock from allocation to replenishment using in the in-house system
  • Working efficiently within the team by providing the buying and merchandising team administrative support to ensure accurate distribution of stock to all core and online shops.
  • Helping to minimise stock loss by working with the shop discrepancies form and monitoring parcel tracking information
  • Build relationships with shop managers, to identify and drive commercial opportunities, to support their performance
  • Demonstrate and maintain competence in all technical area’s relevant to the role
  • Allocate stock for new Store Openings and Refits
  • Work with the Assistant Merchandiser and Merchandiser to decide on next steps to drive stock to priority shops and superstores
  • Assisting on the distribution of Reports and understanding the importance of accurate, organised and timely data
  • Providing key administrative support to the Merchandising and Buying function
  • Understand opportunities and risks at both product and store level, making recommendations to maximise sales and stock levels.
  • Ad hoc reporting/projects – As instructed by the Product team

  • Stage 2: Assessment:
  • If your initial application is successful you will then be invited to complete our new situational judgment test. The test poses real life scenarios that a CRUK intern might be met with in their day to day role and asks how you would tackle that scenario. This is un-timed and multiple choice. Please let us know if you think you might require adjustments for this assessment.  
  • Stage 3: Audio Submission: 
  • If you are successful in the previous stage, you will be asked to complete an audio submission, answering competency-based questions. The questions will be emailed to you and you will have a few days to submit a response via an audio recording (no video required).    
  • Stage 4: Interviews:  
  • If you are successful in the previous stage, you will then be invited to a face-to-face interview at our head office with representatives from the team you are applying to.
