Requirements

  • Currently enrolled on a relevant undergraduate degree course
  • Are required or have requested to take a placement year
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the placement
  • Abe to commence employment in summer 2024
  • Have a minimum of three A-levels at grade C or above one of which must be mathematics, or alternative qualifications of an equivalent level
  • Have an excellent understanding of fundamental principles of basic electronic circuits
  • Enjoy solving challenging electronic engineering problems and have a genuine interest in discovering more about silicon chips and microelectronics design tools
  • Conscientious, reliable and hardworking with good interpersonal skills and the ability to identify and communicate relevant technical information in English

  • This challenging role will offer the opportunity to get directly involved in supporting projects across Europe. We work on a wide range of problems from novel device modelling, complex analogue circuits, reprogrammable FPGA based systems to large digital ICs implemented at very small transistor geometries.
  • Whatever your specific interest, analogue, digital, devices etc. you will gain valuable experience and be allowed to demonstrate your initiative and apply your skills to challenging problems.
