What is the purpose of this internship position at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL)?

What are some responsibilities of the student intern?
Selected interns will be responsible for creating, designing, analyzing, and building tools and systems for research, applying engineering principles to solve technical challenges, assisting in research and development initiatives, and learning advanced technologies and analysis techniques.
What are the minimum education and experience requirements for applicants?
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate STEM program and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Additionally, they should have a basic knowledge of engineering concepts and some experience with analysis or testing in STEM areas.
Are there any desired qualifications for candidates?
Yes, desired qualifications include hands-on laboratory experience, computer programming skills, attention to detail, commitment to safety, teamwork capabilities, and leadership experience.
Where is the work location for this internship?
