Description

  • EOTSS is seeking to hire a Municipal and School Technology Intern to join the EOTSS Office of Municipal and School Technology. The Office of Municipal and School Technology (OMST) services municipalities and school districts across the Commonwealth. We provide information about and administer technology grants available to local government, create opportunities for regional in-person and virtual collaboration, provide technical assistance on community technology initiatives, and promote state resources that can improve local government operations. 
  • The Municipal and School Technology Intern will learn what is it like to be part of day-to-day operations. The intern will assist in the administration of internal and external data, to ensure data integrity for the OMST team and program participants. The intern will contribute to the management of participant user lists and the necessary preparation for submittal to Proofpoint. The intern will review communication drafted for participants about important program information and provide feedback. They will also participate in weekly calls with Proofpoint for key takeaways and action items for the team and perform some data analysis to provide insights and trends. 

Requirements

  • A willingness to learn
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Excel and MS Word experience
  • Database knowledge, SharePoint helpful
  • Willingness to participate as a team member
  • Ability to work actively and productively remotely
  • Some knowledge of Municipal government
