Description

  • The Natural Resources and HydroLicensing Division provides environmental support and stewardship for Seattle City Light. The intern will be part of providing customer service throughout the utility. The intern will report to the Natural Resource & Permitting manager. The job provides the opportunity to have hands on learning in the field and prepares the candidate for a competitive job market. 

Learning Objectives Include:

  • Project management
  • Environmental permitting
  • Environmental stewardship

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students will need to maintain a 2.0 GPA or above throughout the internship.
  • Graduate students will need to maintain a 3.0 GPA or above throughout the internship.
  • Must have a Washington state driver’s license in order to operate a City motor pool vehicle, or the ability to obtain the license within thirty (30) days of hire with Seattle City Light.
  • Preferred Areas of Study:
  • Enrolled in an academic program in natural resources, environmental studies, biology or related field.
  • Enrolled in an accredited certificate, 2-year, 4-year, or graduate program during their internship.
  • You will be successful if you have the following experience, skills, and abilities:
  • Experience or interest in the environmental field in support of environmental compliance, permitting or stewardship.
