What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is a part-time, year-long position.
What are the working hours for the internship?
Interns must be able to work between 15 – 30 hours a week throughout the year and can work full-time over the summer.
What academic background is required for this position?
Candidates should be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in fields such as Neuroscience, Immunology, Molecular and Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Is prior experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry necessary?
Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is considered an asset but is not required.
What types of activities will I be involved in during the internship?
Interns will support cell-based assays, assist in routine lab operations, learn laboratory techniques, and may lead a small project.
Can I apply if I'm currently in a different field of study?
While specific degrees are preferred, we encourage candidates with a genuine interest in biotechnology to apply, even if their experience doesn't match exactly.
