Requirements

  • Candidates who are college juniors, seniors, or graduate students.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience handling projects preferred.
  • Experience in research or grants administration with a funding organization or academic institution.
  • Experience working with volunteers, particularly science volunteers.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate information accurately and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with databases and electronic reporting tools.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Required Equipment: Reliable WiFi Connection
  • Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between the hours of 8:30am-5pm.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future. For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.

Responsibilities

  • Tasks could include things like the following:
  • Spreadsheet updates, file uploads, weekly reports, and tracking, manage email replies.
  • Data entry processing for conference participants including updating presenter information and session details.
  • Assist with conference support materials as needed, conference packing, professional credential research, conference reception logistics, coordination with outside vendors, inter-departmental logistics, and communications.
  • Conducts data quality reviews to ensure the accuracy of information and payments for transferring and terminating awards, and documents findings to management.
  • Assists management with special projects as needed/assigned.
