Responsibilities

  • Program manager for Community Science Initiative’s STEM Pathways programs.
  • This position will manage and oversee the STEM Pathways programs.
  • This would include training high school students in hands-on mentoring, running hands-on STEM programs, overseeing/creating the high school outreach schedules, organizing/running fun “research activities” with the high school students at the marine lab (oyster farm trips, whale ID trips, Cape Lookout excursion, etc.), developing outreach activities, and more.
  • The work also includes collaborating with the Community Engagement Fellow on research and programming surrounding resilience, water quality, and restoration.
  • After the programs end there is some work on getting everything organized for the next year.
