Who is eligible to attend the Race Equity Virtual Open Day?
Candidates in their penultimate year of undergraduate study and onwards are eligible to attend. First-year undergraduate students are not eligible for this event.
What is the purpose of the Open Day?
The Open Day aims to provide insight into the firm's EDI commitments, the application process, and life as a lawyer at Mishcon de Reya, while also fostering an anti-racist mindset through the Race Equity Committee's initiatives.
When will the Race Equity Open Day take place?
The Virtual Race Equity Open Day will take place on Thursday, 17th October 2024.
What academic qualifications do we typically look for in candidates?
We typically look for an expected 2:1 degree and ABB at A-level, but we ultimately seek the best candidates, so lower grades should not deter strong applicants from applying.
What should I include in my application form?
You should enter your GCSE, A-level (or equivalent) grades, and provide a full breakdown of your degree grades on the application form.
When is the application deadline?
Applications close on Thursday, 3rd October 2024.
Will there be additional Open Days for first-year students?
Yes, we will be holding an Open Day in Spring 2025 that is open to first-year students.
What can attendees expect to learn during the Open Day?
Attendees can expect to gain insight into the type of work done at Mishcon, the clients engaged with, an understanding of the legal landscape, and an increase in commercial awareness regarding how a law firm operates.
