Responsibilities

  • You will support the day to day business of payload engineering providing an opportunity to learn about all the different types of telecommunications payloads. This will also include:
  • Cost models and schedule - how we prepare bids to win new satellite contracts;
  • Payload key RF performance parameters / DC power and mass constraints;
  • Major elements of the payload - antenna, digital processor, software, other RF equipment;
  • How we work with external suppliers, supporting current project needs;
  • Help with technical data management such as reviewing test results/specification/documentation;
  • Gaining an appreciation of the overall payload design.
  • The tasks will be varied and require you to use different skills (technical, data management, communication etc.) in order to complete them successfully.
