Responsibilities

  • - Support manufacturing operations by focusing on continuous improvement to enhance production processes, prioritizing safety, ergonomics, efficiency, and first-time quality.
  • - Ensure that production has the necessary tools and processes to successfully build trucks.
  • - Collaborate directly with the Continuous Improvement team to optimize current processes, improve part presentation for assembly, and refine workstation layouts.
  • - Support and challenge the team on continuous improvement efforts to identify quality issues, increase speed and quality of resolution.
  • - Communicate and interact with Plant personnel to continually seek ways to improve existing designs or develop new designs to improve manufacturability and/or reduce costs.
  • - Identify opportunities for improvement in manufacturing assembly lines.
  • - Cross functionally work with various departments to create a collaborative environment.
  • - Be an ambassador to Daimler’s inclusive and diverse culture initiatives.
  • - Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
  • - Design and develop standardized manufacturing processes for meeting quality, productivity, and safety goals.
  • - Design arrangement of manufacturing equipment and parts to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
