Requirements

  • Required:
  • Undergraduate student currently enrolled or a recent graduate within the last 2 years
  • OR
  • Graduate student currently enrolled or a recent graduate within the last 2 years
  • Some Health Insurance knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Interest in developing a robust understanding of healthcare landscape required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details required
  • Abillity to communicate effectively through email or in meetings
  • Desired:
  • Desire to learn Medicare

Responsibilities

  • Learn about Medicare, CMS and regulatory agencies, Products (i.e. HMO and PPO) by regularly reviewing Medicare transmittals, updates to the Medicare Managed Care Manual, the Benefit Policy Manual or any other published Medicare or Medicaid documentation related to the product benefits.
  • Supports and contributes to product related deliverables
  • Learn about competitors and how CCA competes in the marketplace, and contribute to researching competitors, benefit changes in the market and compiling competitive analyses
  • Supports Product Advisor and Sr Specialist roles on Product team
  • Evaluates member materials to ensure accuracy is descriptions of member benefits.
  • Supports and contributes to the maintenance of product educational materials for staff, including, but not limited to, quick guides, a member benefit tool for member-facing staff and intranet site(s)
  • Support creation of the Evidence of Coverage, Annual Notice of Change, Summary of Benefits, and other regulated documents ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies.
  • Participate in interdepartmental projects pertaining to product benefits, including pharmacy and Ancillary benefit designs.
