Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Costing, Engineering, Business Management, or related field
  • High proficiency using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Knowledge of footwear construction, manufacturing, product costing, and global business management will be preferred
  • Work independently and collaborate proactively with cross functional teams
  • High level of integrity and teamwork, result-oriented
  • Strong verbal and writing communication skills
  • Solving complex challenges and bringing new perspectives to existing processes and solutions

Responsibilities

  • Proactive margin improvement – Mining data and run product cost margin report, be able to articulate business trend, cost drivers and variance, identify cost and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Improved material selection – Being able to search product cost info and run material price range for different product tiers and price levels. Understanding the relationship and balance between cost and price.
  • Creating cost transparency - Leading efforts to improve cost transparency in the areas of labor, overhead, and profit (LOP). Liaise with sourcing offices to gather information on the cost drivers of LOP at each factory. Define approach and processes for working with suppliers to properly allocate LOP to individual products to create improved cost transparency as an input to merchandising’s pricing models.
  • Product standard cost review - Providing product cost info and validating product standard cost and analyze variance to support the finance standard cost reroll process.
  • Data and Process Efficiency - Documenting margin management process and narratives, identify improvement opportunities, and drive solutions to automate process and data tools to enhance operations efficiency.
