Off-cycle Internship



  • Model N is looking for college students (who have completed their junior year) ready to jump start their career exposure with an internship. We offer unparalleled hands-on experience working in an exciting yet challenging industry. Consider this an early career start, where you will have the opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by some of the brightest minds at Model N. 
  • You will have the opportunity to get to know the other Model N interns and participate in workshops and trainings designed just for you and your peers. In addition, each week there will be time for additional learning through LinkedIn Learning on topics to help you develop your skills and business acumen.  


  • A solid understanding of English (written and verbal)
  • Some experience in marketing and digital domains
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in project management
  • Preferably pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, IT, or business
  • Candidates with these qualifications will be well-equipped to contribute effectively to the projects and gain valuable insights and experience within the Product Marketing team.

  • The Product Marketing Intern will undertake three core projects aimed at enhancing the understanding of Model N products, competitors, and customers within the life sciences sector:
  • Module Map Development: The intern will create a comprehensive module map showcasing the various components of the Model N platform tailored for life sciences customers. This map will serve as a valuable content piece for both existing customers and prospects, facilitating upsell conversations and enhancing engagement with the platform.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conducting in-depth research, the intern will develop competitive overviews for 3-5 key competitors in the life sciences industry. This analysis will involve evaluating competitor websites and formulating recommendations to enhance our own website's positioning, messaging, resources, and layout. The insights gained will inform strategic decisions regarding competitive positioning and long-term plans for website development.
  • Persona Development: Through research, the intern will identify and profile 5-10 key personas within the life sciences sector. These persona overviews will detail key responsibilities, educational backgrounds, pain-points, and other pertinent information. The profiles will be utilized by the sales and marketing teams to tailor strategies and communications effectively.
  • All 3 of these projects will have a direct impact on how we position Model N to the life sciences industry and make our marketing and sales teams more effective and impactful.
