What type of projects can interns expect to work on?
Interns can expect to work on projects that improve forging practices, formulate and melt new refractory alloys, or develop models of annealing processes.
Will the intern receive hands-on experience during the program?
Yes, the internship program is designed to provide hands-on work assignments and projects related to the intern's field of interest.
What types of materials will the intern be working with?
Interns will work with refractory metal alloys and material systems including Ti, Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta, V, and Ni.
Is there an opportunity for professional networking during the internship?
Yes, the internship includes planned events meant to provide informal networking opportunities with other interns and employees.
Will the intern need laboratory or shop safety knowledge?
Yes, demonstrated knowledge of laboratory and/or shop safety practices is preferred.
