What is the duration of the Professional Development Program (PDP) Internship?
The PDP Internship is a 10 to 12 week summer program.
Where will the internship take place?
The internship will take place at one of BASF’s North American sites, with locations including Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, and Louisiana.
What is the expected start date for the internship?
The potential start date is at the end of May or beginning of June 2025.
What qualifications are required to apply for the internship?
Applicants should be undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Data Analytics/Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
Do I need authorization to work in the U.S.?
Yes, applicants must have authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without restrictions or the need for future sponsorship.
Is previous internship experience beneficial?
Yes, previous internship or co-op experience is a plus.
What technical skills are preferred for this internship?
Programming experience in R and Python is desired, while knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.
Will interns have the opportunity to present their projects?
Yes, upon completion of the internship program, interns will have the opportunity to present their summer projects to other interns, BASF employees, and senior leaders.
What type of projects will interns work on?
Interns will work on data science projects that involve mathematics, artificial intelligence, optimization, and business analytics.
What is the pay range for this internship?
The competitive pay range for this role is $1,907 - $2,340 semi-monthly, with actual pay determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
