What is the primary focus of the Property & Casualty Account Management Intern?
The primary focus is to gain an understanding of the insurance industry, learn about the brokerage cycle, develop skills in creating business proposals, and understand risk appetites of carriers and wholesalers.
What qualifications are required to apply for the internship?
Candidates must be enrolled and in good standing at an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university, preferably with a concentration in Business, Insurance, or Risk Management.
Will I receive mentorship during the internship?
Yes, interns will grow with the help of an assigned mentor and be exposed to leadership, departments, and other interns.
Are there specific skills that are essential for this internship?
Yes, critical thinking, adaptability, professionalism, and the ability to effectively utilize technical tools such as Microsoft Office and Excel are essential.
What type of tasks will I be expected to perform during the internship?
Tasks include completing rotations through teams, reviewing contracts, accompanying Account Managers on renewal meetings, gathering quotations, and tabulating data, among others.
