Requirements

  • Pursuing or holds a Masters degree in one of the following degrees: public health or closely related discipline;
  • Public Health, Health Policy, Health Promotion, Statistics, Biostatistics, BioInformatics and Epidemiology.
  • Candidate must be proficient in MS Office Software and SAS.
  • Experience using R, and/or SUDAAN a plus.
  • Good organizational skills and works well under deadlines.
  • Be a US citizen or permanent resident
  • Submit an official transcript;
  • Submit two letters of recommendation;
  • Pass a background check for CDC clearance;
  • Applicants should have a keen interest in careers in public health and in developing strong public health analytic and evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Designing an analysis plan and conducting analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
  • Program evaluation and needs assessment of public health programs, public health informatics and surveillance in local, state, national or international programs
  • Conducting literature reviews on effectiveness of public health strategies, methods, and tools for public health professionals
  • Preparing reports and presentations of program data findings and recommendations.
