Requirements

  • Strong Python programming skills necessary.
  • Power BI or similar visualization tool experience.
  • Experience and comfortability working within a complex data landscape and performing exploratory data analysis in various tools.
  • Experience and interest in creation of advanced analytics tools and visualizations to support and drive effective decision making.
  • Motivation to develop strong presentation and communication skills to present technical and business-relevant insights at different levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to work in a cross-functional team to enhance analytical aspects of our Clinical Lab Solutions business line.
  • Interfacing with various data storage platforms – e.g., SQL warehouses, Azure, etc.
  • Preferred skills: R programming skills, PySpark library experience, Databricks or similar cloud-based coding platform, SQL.
  • Required skills to have for the success of this role:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, majoring in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences or related discipline (rising senior preferred).
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Working on Data Science, Data Engineering, and Data Visualization projects within our R&D Advanced Analytics and Product Insights team.
  • Working within a complex data landscape to create novel analytics tools and insights to further investigations and inform decision making.
  • Creating visualizations for stakeholders of various organizational backgrounds and developing novel ways to represent data.
  • Working within our Databricks development environment to perform exploratory data analysis and develop new data pipelines.
  • Participating in introductory level machine learning application projects.
  • Taking part in knowledge exchange with our cross-functional Clinical Lab Solutions team to improve and further develop our products and software solutions.
