Requirements

  • Good documentation practices
  • Preferred experience in a laboratory (use of pipettes, aseptic technique)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Preferred science major
  • Preferred coursework experience in biology or microbiology
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.

Responsibilities

  • Support department projects product development studies and/or investigations
  • Perform a variety of testing using microbiological methods and instruments.
  • Assist in the creation of microorganism dilution schemes for an extensive panel of bacteria, yeast, moulds, and Mycobacteria as part of test method development
