What is the duration of the internship?
The internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long.
What qualifications are required for the Research Scientist Intern position?
Candidates must currently have or be in the process of obtaining a Ph.D. degree in Computer Vision or Artificial Intelligence, or a relevant technical field.
Is work authorization required for this internship?
Yes, candidates must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
What programming languages should candidates be familiar with?
Candidates should have experience with Python or other related languages.
What experience is preferred for applicants?
Preferred qualifications include a proven track record of significant results, experience working cross-functionally, contributions to open-source libraries, and experience with deep learning frameworks.
Are there publication expectations for this role?
Yes, interns are expected to publish research results and contribute to research that can be applied to Meta product development.
Is there an intention to return to the degree program after the internship?
Yes, having the intent to return to the degree program after the completion of the internship/co-op is a preferred qualification.
What types of problems will the intern be expected to solve?
The intern will work on solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches, manipulating and analyzing complex, large-scale, high-dimensionality data from various sources.
