What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is a 4-month work term, running from January to April 2025.
What will be the main responsibilities of the intern?
The intern will support the SE&I Optical Systems team with day-to-day activities such as lab preparation and testing, as well as implementing a lab environment for testing northbound interfaces and/or network security features.
What is the expected educational background for this internship?
Candidates should currently be enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent engineering program.
Is prior experience in telecommunications network terminology required?
While a basic understanding of telecommunications network terminology and technology, such as Optical communication, Ethernet, and OTN, is an asset, it is not strictly required.
What kind of technical skills are expected from the intern?
The intern should have a working knowledge of Unix/Linux, familiarity with the GRPC, NETCONF, and REST API frameworks, and proficiency in MS Office 365 and Adobe for documentation and presentations.
