Responsibilities

  • Support engineers in the Solution Engineering & Introduction (SE&I) team specialized in optical systems. SE&I is an engineering, customer-facing team, that works directly with Product Development, Product Management, Sales Engineering and Services organizations to ensure the engineering readiness in bringing our cutting-edge solutions to market.
  • In general, the student will need to support the SE&I Optical Systems team for day-to-day activities such as lab preparation and testing in addition to implementing a lab environment for testing of north bound interfaces and/or network security features to be readily available for customer testing. Student will need to:
  • learn the concepts of northbound interfaces and/or network security features.
  • design, test and implement a Linux environment to facilitate the testing of these concepts.
  • document the work and train extended team.
