Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program, or be a recent graduate in a Social Sciences discipline
  • Available to start in June 2024 for an internship of up to six months
  • Strong interest in a career in research publishing
  • Responsible, organized, detail-oriented, strong communicator, and curious

Responsibilities

  • The successful applicant will sit across the Social Sciences and Politics & International Studies Books Teams, as part of the Research Publishing division of Springer Nature. If selected for this internship, you will work closely with a team of acquisitions editors to manage a prestigious book program in these areas. Specific tasks may include assisting in peer reviews of new books and books under contract, identification of new potential authors and publishing opportunities (including use of data-driven tools to identify growth areas), helping authors prepare manuscripts for production, ensuring information in databases is accurate and up-to-date, writing marketing texts, attending external meetings, and related duties.
