Requirements

  • High School Graduate and current enrollment in an accredited 4-year college pursuing a 4-degree in the following:
  • Computer Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • No experience requirement – current enrollment in a 4-year engineering program
  • Strong desire to learn about engineering roles in the automotive and defense industry and ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well in a business setting and across functional areas
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Proficiency with computer operation, including Microsoft Office tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic engineering concepts corresponding with school year

Responsibilities

  • Complete transmission component design projects and participate in design reviews and work cross-functionally with departments to improve on existing products and design of new technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of specifications, analyzing data, summarizing and reporting results, maintaining records, and writing technical reports.
  • Interface with customers and OEM's, tailoring design solutions to meet customer specifications and requirements.
  • Work with technicians to set-up and operate test devices and measurement tools.
  • Present project results to management staff along with technical analysis of activities.
