Requirements

  • Strong programming (Java, Perl, XML, JS) and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Knowledge of software and/or testing methodologies
  • It would be nice if you also had:
  • Networking and telecommunications knowledge
  • Linux operating environment, Windows, Virtual Machines
  • Knowledge of Routing Protocols (ie. OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, RIP), and MPLS
  • Education Recommendations:
  • Currently a candidate for a Master's, bachelor's degree, or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Development of scripts or applications (XML, REST, JavaScript, Perl) to simulate various management activities and network scenarios.
  • Development and execution of test plans to validate functional aspects of the product.
  • Investigation of product defects encountered during test scenarios.
  • Execution of tests and maintenance of regression and performance test beds, including publishing results and developing additional functionality.
