Requirements

  • We have opportunities for those studying degrees inclusive of; Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Data Science, or Maths. Our opportunities are open to undergraduate students who have completed at least the 2nd year of their degree at an English university or 3rd year of their degree at a Scottish University or those who have already graduated.
  • We'd love you to have some practical work or project experience that reflects your passion for the energy sector, as well as a knowledge of the energy industry and demonstrable experience of working in a team. You'll also be comfortable working to and setting stretching individual targets and using your own initiative to overcome challenges and should have a genuine interest in SSE and the prospect of a long-term future with us.

Responsibilities

  • Our Solar and Battery Commercial Summer Placement provides real hands-on experience through a 12 week placement. Throughout the placement, you will have the support of a business mentor and manager, who will provide guidance and support to enable you to reach your full potential. You will have the opportunity to be part of the team who are the leaders in investment analysis and management for renewable energy assets. In this role you will gain experience in financial and commercial analysis, helping to facilitate optimal solar and battery investment decisions.
