Requirements

  • Basic:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music, Fine Arts, Creative Writing, or a related discipline (Not a must). or a strong portfolio supporting your talent
  • Love of and curiosity for music & lyrics
  • Ambitious, deadline-driven self-starter
  • Basic understanding of how lyrics work alongside other elements, including sound, set, lighting, moving images, or interactive virtual world
  • Intermediate:
  • Firm grasp of music, poetry, and writing
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills
  • You should have a wide vocabulary and the ability to identify the elements that make a song appealing to younger audience
  • Ability to research and pitch your ideas to the line manager
  • Time-management and organisation skills to meet delivery specifications and deadlines
  • Advanced:
  • Ability to produce lyrics for different genre
  • Knowledge of DAW (Ableton,Logic,Cubase)
  • Ability to sing confidently

Responsibilities

  • Junior Songwriter:
  • Writing original lyrics that can be used in videos, animation, YouTube/Television shows, etc
  • Understanding song specifications and the audience and genre you are writing lyrics for.
  • Work with scriptwriters and singers to appropriately convey lyrics
  • Songwriter :
  • Listening to proposed melodies to determine the style, tone, and mood of the song before writing
  • Creating lyrics to go along with tunes, and writing choruses and hooks
  • Work with creative development manager, and collaborate with other teams for production
  • Be able to have an educational take on every lyrics
