  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Education:
  • High school diploma/GED required. Enrolled in degreed program specific to discipline.
  • Additional Preferences
  • Applicant must be in an Accredited Ultrasound program and currently in the 2nd year of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to patients within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations, under the direct supervision of a registered tech.
  • Prepare and position patients and selects exposure factors accurately.
  • Implement radiation protection and safety standards within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area in the department.
