  • A work history of regular attendance and positive performance evaluation.
  • Proficiency in Spanish as well as both experience in and a passion for soccer is a plus.

  • Licenses & Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  • First Aid and CPR required.
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities, and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Regular attendance and hours in conformance with the standards which may be established by Sporting KC from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the team needs including working game nights.
  • Performs as a developing strength and conditioning coach & sport scientist in the team environment.
  • Will assist in SKC II and Academy teams warm-ups, conditioning sessions, cool downs, and weight room sessions with the opportunity to lead if they demonstrate the aptitude to do so.
  • Works under the direction and supervision of the Sporting KC Performance Staff; this person will report directly to the Director of Sports Performance.
  • Help to maintain a complete up to date player data (player health and participation records, session RPE, weight room loads, etc).
  • Assists in the implementation of StatSports GPS for SKC Development Academy.
  • Assist to maintain professional facilities (keep the weight room clean, organized, etc).
  • Assists in coverage of Sporting KC, Sporting KC II, and Sporting KC Academy games as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Always represents Sporting KC in a professional manner.
