Requirements

  • Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (those graduating by January 2027 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
  • Majors in computer science or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in software or cloud development - work projects, internships, summer jobs, etc.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Scala, Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript or Python.
  • Must have a legal right to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly as part of an engineering team that delivers new features and functionality with high quality and robust architecture which support SiriusXM and Pandora platforms.
  • Innovate to build performant solutions that continue to scale to the increasing demands of the business.
  • Strive to develop simple solutions to complex problems, constantly seek ways to improve at every iteration, make suggestions for improvements.
  • Participate in architecture and technical discussions.
  • Learn and operate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Build cloud-based data warehouse pipelines using standard big data components (Spark, Iceberg) and AWS services (EMR Serverless, S3, Athena, Lambda, Kinesis, Glue).
  • Use source control systems (Git and GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to continuously deploy applications to production.
